Introduction
Every year on 5th June we celebrate World Environment Day. The main purpose behind the celebration of this day is to create awareness among the citizens of the country. On this day we take a resolution to keep our surroundings clean and green.
History : World Environment Day
World Environment Day was first celebrated in 1973 by the UN General Assembly under the UN Environment Programme. It was started with the slogan “Only One Earth.” The year-wise theme is given on the official website of the UN. The link is given here:
