Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, abbreviated as KVS, is going to celebrate its 63rd foundation day on 15th December 2025. KVS was started on 15th December 1963 for the children of Central Government employees. Originally, KVS was known as Central School.
Initially, KVS had only 20 schools. Today, it runs 1289 schools, 1371183 Students, 56810 employees, 25 regional offices and 5 ZIETs.
