Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, is observed on 14th August every year in India. It is observed to commemorate the death and suffering faced by the Indians during the partition. Many people had lost their lives at that time.
Every year government offices, schools, colleges, Universities, and several other institutions observed this day and pay tribute to those who had lost their lives and recalled the suffering and agony of the people.
Shri Narendra Modi announced in 2021 to observe Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on 14th August every year.
Actually, the main reason behind this observance is not to repeat such a holocaust again in the country in the name of partition.
Due to this partition, many families lost their near and dear ones and their precious property as well. Many families also got divided in this partition.
